# FAQ

### **How long does bridging take?**

**2–5 minutes on average.**\
Bridging typically takes between 2 to 5 minutes depending on network congestion and the chains involved. Transactions are routed through **Stargate** and secured via **LayerZero**, ensuring fast and secure finality across chains.

### **What happens if my collateral value drops?**

**You risk liquidation.**\
If the value of your collateral falls below the required minimum collateralization ratio, your position can be **liquidated automatically**. This means your collateral may be sold to repay your debt. Always monitor your **Health Factor** and consider setting up **alerts**.

#### **Do I need gas tokens?**

**Yes — gas tokens are always required.**

* **NIBI** is **always required** for any transaction, whether it's on Nibiru or cross-chain. It covers gas fees on the Nibiru chain.
* **WETH (Wrapped ETH)** is additionally required **for cross-chain transactions where tokens will be received on Nibiru**. This applies to:
 * **Borrowing** from another chain with collateral on Nibiru
 * **Withdrawing collateral** cross-chain to Nibiru

### **How is collateral bridged?**

**Via Stargate + LayerZero.**\
Collateral is transferred cross-chain using **Stargate’s liquidity protocol**, with messaging and transaction validation handled by **LayerZero**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.friendly.market/products-1/faq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
